2025 LCC MasterClass and Clinic

Join the Lebanon Community Chorus in our 3rd annual MasterClass and Clinic on November 8th, 2025, at Linn-Benton Community College!
What is a MasterClass? Vocalists and Choruses attend a traditional ‘open class’ for observers to listen while the vocal coach teaches the student. The observers gain insight to singing through observing the lesson.
It is an educational tool used to improve singing performance and techniques. A singer cannot see their musical instrument. They can hear it, feel it, but cannot see it. Feedback is vital to improving techniques and learning new skills that leads to building confident singers.
Below you will find biographies for the professionals leading the MasterClass. Dr. James Reddan, DMA, will be working with choruses while a host of other educators and professionals will be leading workshops and vocal coaching lessons.

Hailed by Northwest Reverb as “a dynamite soprano,” Saori DeBruyn brings lots of energy and heart to all her characters. Another performance of note was her hilarious performance of “American Tourist (aka Soprano #1)” in Eugene Opera’s production of Acis & Galatea where Saori flexed her funny bone with cracks of laughter coming from the audience from her ad libbed lines and comedic improv. Her concert appearances include the soprano solo in Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem with the Eugene Concert Choir, the soprano solo in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle with the Dartmouth Glee Club, and most recently she performed as a soloist with the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra, conducted by her husband, Jonathan DeBruyn. In 2026, Saori will sing the soprano solo in Mahler’s 4th symphony with the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra, and will sing the world premiere of Apocalyptic Maiden, a song cycle with orchestra set to text from The Magnificat, composed by her father in-law, Randall DeBruyn.
